Hi, I have a Dodge Van and it just quit on me. I checked the code and its 320. I'm not getting any juice to the coil. engine cranks over ok. Is there a speed sensor on this and where is it located. Where can i get a wireing diagram for this. Any help would be appreciated Thanks River

I had no replys to my question I would apreciate any input guys. I Checked the coil and there no juice to there when key is on, Also fuel rail is presaurized so i know that's working; I found out that 320 is the crank position sensor i found and is there any test i can do with a ohn metter to see goes for 60 bucks and i don't want to change it if its still good. I think its made to shut down system if it malfuctions. I also switched the asd relay with another one to see if that would take care of it. It sounds like the crank pos sensor but its just a guess on my partr. Does any one know where the coil gets it power from Can i ntry to hot wire it or will that fry the computors . Please help guys Patriots fan in destress :worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy::worthy:

The PCM is saying that the CPS is sending a signal. With out this signal the PCM will not activate the ASD relay. There is a test according to my 97 factory service manual but you would need the chrysler DRB testing tool and the PCM manual as well.

Since switching the ASD relay did not work I would "listen" to the PCM and replace the CPS.

Code 320 can also be set to indicate a bad cam sensor (distributor pick-up coil).

That aside, when you say you have no power at the coil, how exactly are you checking for power? Are you checking across the two coil terminals or are you checking from each terminal to ground?

Hi Im checking from each terminal to a good ground with the key on.

Then I'd say there's a better than average chance you overlooked a blown fuse under the hood.

Truck been sitting two years

In your first post you said, "Hi, I have a Dodge Van and it just quit on me."

So which is it...it's been sitting for 2 years or it just quit on you? :dunno:

Maybe your shift linkage needs a shot of oil?

Its my sons van it quit on him when he was driving it two years ago. It been sitting in my driveway since. I was just wondering if there any safety device that may be locking it up i probabaly disconect at trans and see if its the transmission or the shift linkage

Did you make sure the key was in the run position and not near the start position? I have seen some that did not return back as it should and would hang the shifter in park. Also you did not state what year van and some of the latter vans need to have the brake applied before the gear shift can move.

I was wondering if it has a vacuum release when you step on brake i tried wiggling key and did step on brake
