I'm replacing the radiator in my heavy duty 3/4 ton van. The old one had two rows of tubes the new one has a single row. THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME THICKNESS.
The new one is aluminum/plastic tanks.
Before I install it....will the cooling be the same..thx

More than likely if its aluminum. Aluminum disipates heat alot better than the old radiators hence less tubes.

If the new one's single row is as deep as the old two row then it will do the same job. My new aluminum radiator is called a two row design yet it has one deep row that is as deep as two separate rows would be.

Talked to the shop who sold me the radiator (my daughters boyfriends dad)
He said what sky rider said...the aluminum is much better at cooling. So ya...one big row instead of two small rows.
