HELP! I get a miss in the engine after I have been on the highway for awhile. Does not always doing it. Sometimes with in about ten miles. The engine codes are miss in 1,4,6,8 and multiple cylinders, and TPS. Been through most common things. Thinking clog in catalyst converter. Any ideas? Please help! I have had tps problems B-4. You can check past threads. I replaced thr tps twice, the board and wires, with no help for the tps code.
Not sure if the TPS would cause a miss for the engine. All it does is to open or close the throttle butterfly valve in the TB. It's basically a potentiometer feedback device. Nothing special about it. The miss is coming from some place else.

A clogged cat would most likely send a P0420 code which you do not seem to have at the moment.
Might have the fuel pressure checked.
Also the plenum intake gasket has been known to leak which could lean out the fuel mixture enough to cause the misfire codes.
Have you checked all the vacuum lines and fittings?
