Ok, these are still unconfirmed rumors, but here is what we know about SRT-8:
- (pretty much confirmed) a 2006 300 SRT-8 will be introduced before a Magnum version. It will feature the new 6.1-liter HEMI - good for about 400 horsepower from what I've heard.
- It is very likely that an SRT-8 version of the new Charger sedan will also be offered sometime in 2005/2006. Also equipped with the 6.1-liter HEMI.
- With these two models on the way, it seems inevitable that an SRT-8 version of the Magnum will also be offered, since it was afterall the first car they showed with the "SRT-8" name.
The rumors that it would have a supercharged 5.7-liter engine were false, as the 6.1-liter is currently being readied for production (confirmed). One would expect price to be about $3-5k above a fully loaded Magnum R/T or 300C.
