So i rewired my truck and need a little help...There are 4 "prongs" on the brake switch in my truck, but there is only 1 connector on the harness. It's a 2 prong connector and not sure where to hook it up on the switch. The switch has 2 prongs on the bottom and 2 prongs on the end (that faces the driver)...any ideas???

I tried it on both and neither make the brake lights work, I have A tail light...but it looks more like a brake light then a tail light....be better off to wire in some trailer lights and go that route???

I think on my 78 that 2 of the prongs on the brake light switch are for cruise, they tell the cruise to shut off by tapping the brake, i think that the 2 that the 2 knife prongs on the side of the switch are the brake light terminals, did you replace the switch? if you touch the wires together your brake lights should come on, the switch just keeps the circuit close, make sure there working if touched together first, if not then it sounds like you have a problem elsewhere. Also check the continuity through the switch when you apply the pedal, OH and check your bulbs, just saying ya never know.
