All the bulbs in my gauge cluster burned out over the past year (apparently that whole replace both bulbs at once deal has a grain of truth to it), so I finally pulled the cluster today to replace the bulbs.

I'm turning the bulb sockets, but they don't seem to budge. How hard do you have to twist these things? Feels like I'm going to crack the circuit board.

Also, does anyone know the part number for these bulbs offhand? I don't recall seeing it in my factory manual.

I don't know about '96 but in my '89 they are wedge type bulbs. They pull straight out. No twisting.

To unlock the bulb socket from the cluster turn the socket counter clockwise (looking at the back of the cluster) about 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn. Then they should pull out from the cluster.
