I looked at it this past weekend, pondered it over and bought it today. The dealership had three Magnums on the lot, one Inferno Red R/t, on Silver SXT, and one Inferno Red SXT. Had to have the Hemi, so I am now the proud owner of the Inferno Red R/T. :rck: Here are a couple 0f pics of her! The looks the car gets is pretty amazing, you'd think it was a Ferrari or something. TeH Sweetness!

Feels great, very smooth. Not sure about the economical thing, though, since it now has a total of 106 miles on her. :)

Oh, a couple more pics...

By the way, how big are the rims that come on these Magnums and 300C's, they look big. By the way you are very lucky to have one, they are really hard to come by.

225/60/18's on the Magnum R/T......215/65/17 on the standard model Magnums.

I saw an add for one the other day, more the point I heard an add the other day. It sure sounded like it was running dual exhaust. Does it? They push the Hemi in our trucks and then slide a single exhaust on her. I would love to have the sound that you have, the rest of the car is real stout too, congrats man.

Great dane, I do believe they have duals. Which is awesome. Dodge always does a good job with duals in my opinion. They sound great, and yes it would be nice on more cars. Hell my little neon even has duals and I love the sound it gives off, and ecspecialy that turbo, that makes me wanna drool. LOL. But yea I think they have duals, I'm sure someone will know for sure.

Yes, duals all the way back. It's too quiet, though, needs a little more rumble. :)

Ive never heard one so I guess I really didn't know. I like the look of them tho. They make them fit nice with the bumpers. They probably dont want to make it to loud because not all people like that unless the car was bought strickley for performance I could see loud pipes but not all people are going to buy it for that. Congrats on the car!!! I've got one pretty close if not identical! I absolutely love mine. I've now got just shy of 6000 miles on mine and its going in for its second oil change tomorrow AM. I'm also having the U-Connect installed which should help me keep two hands on the wheel (needed with the Hemi). What options did you get? Does yours have the Sirius radio. They tell me that the parts are on order for mine but they don't know when they're coming in. At any rate, I hope you like your car as much as I do. Congrats again!!!

What does the "UConnect" involve as far as installation Dave? I know it comes as a option w/ the Nav and works with bluetooth enabled phones to let you talk wirelessly. Just was not aware that it could be installed later. Can it be installed in a non-Navigation car? Awesome information if it can be.

Mischief,

out of curiosity, what do you have in the container on the passenger side floor? I'm really hungry right now, and seeing that container is making me think about the bloomin onion from outback steakhouse... yummy!!!

Mischief

It was fried rice and an egg roll. :)

Boy this thread is getting off topic.... cuz now I'm thinking that a blooming onion and a cold beer would be really good right now!
At any rate I'm responding to 2020is's question about the Uconnect. It has nothing to do with the Navigation system and can be added as a dealer option on any car. If you get the factory car with Uconnect you also get the auto dimming rear view mirror because the microphone is in it. In my car there is a small control mounted to the left of the radio and a small microphone next to the overhead console. They had to run the wire for the microphone behind all the trim and under the headliner so it was nearly 2 hours of labor to install it, but..... I won't ever have another car without it. Uconnect is a "blue tooth" enabled receiver that allows me to bring my cell phone into the car and send or receive calls through uconnect. When I receive a call the radio mutes automatically and it's a handsfree speakerphone. To make a call I just touch a button and speak the digits of the number I want to call or say a stored name and it dials the call. The benefit of Uconnect is that it uses my cell phone, so the car isn't on another service or have a different number. I don't have to push any buttons, connect any wires, nothing, just bring the phone into the car and it's on. If I'm on a uconnect call and want to leave the car I simply pick up the handset and leave, I don't drop the call. Its pretty cool. The only drawbacks are cost (@$500 complete & installed) and the GSM service required for blue tooth phones is pretty sparse in rural areas. Other than that, I'm pretty pleased. Thanks!

Ah, we are becoming a spoiled bunch inside our cars and trucks.

The newest features appearing on 2004 vehicles show a trend toward easier-to-use phones, better sound systems, more comfort items, larger, let-in-the-sky roofs and new wheels.

For example, several Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles in 2004 offer UConnect, a hands-free voice-activated communications system that includes Bluetooth technology.

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology. A driver only needs to bring his or her Bluetooth-enabled phone into the vehicle, and it will be recognized by the car's UConnect, allowing preprogrammed phone numbers to be dialed via voice commands during travel, and phone conversations to be held via a microphone and speakers in the vehicle -- all hands-free.

The cell phone itself can be placed anywhere in the vehicle during this time, even the glove box or trunk, and phone conversations can continue, uninterrupted, via the driver's cell phone, after a vehicle is parked and the driver departs.

Consumers can use their current cell phone carrier and telephone number, and UConnect can be programmed to recognize up to five phones.

Suggested retail installation price is $275, if done at the factory, and $299, if done at a dealership, according to officials at DaimlerChrysler's Chrysler Group.

There is no ongoing UConnect subscription fee, but consumers must pay their monthly cell phone bills.

Thank you.... you can bet I'm taking this to my dealer on Monday! I was told that the part was $299 and install was extra... :VHOT: AP is reporting differently. Can you tell me where you found that article? I'll google "Uconnect" and see what I come up with. Thanks again!
