Super Sleeper turbo mini. Running a Supra twin turbo intercooler at 17lbs of boost. Should be a high 14 second van as the last time I ran it with 15lbs of boost and it spun pretty bad through the 60' trap and hit boost cutout twice. It runs better and hooks harder now!

My wife wont even ride in the darn thing! She took over the Durango. My 6 year old daughter and 10 year old boy love it! I just bought a Porche 944 intercooler today off of ebay that should work better than the one I curently am using. I guess I will find out soon enough...

Dude, that's super cool! I've been wanting to do something like that for a while now, but I can't seem to find any Turbo minivans to start with. My friends think I'm nuts, but I would love to see the faces of these people that drive their "badass" mustangs and corvettes get beat down by a 14 sec. minivan!! Ha Ha.

Its a very fun ride! I put a new rack and pinion, struts, brakes and installed the AC all this week. It was tough but well worth it. I now have power steering and the van actually handles pretty well not like a turd in high water anymore. And having AC here in Phoenix AZ (108 degrees) for the first time is SWEET! I am going to put anouther $2500 in the van soon. New turbo, computer, injectors, different intercooler, slicks and some other odds and ins and hope to be in the low 13's-high 12's all with AC and being a daily driver. Shoot me a PM and I will get you hooked up with a turbo dodge site I believe you will enjoy.

Sorry this is off topic, but I saw a minivan yesterday, and I was like woa. It was either a chevy venture or Oldsmobile Shilloette, but any ways, this was no ordinary minivan......................It was a CONVERTIABLE. And they had the top up, that was friking weird.

My 2¢:
I don't care HOW FAST IT IS...I wouldn't be caught dead in that hideous vehicle. That's what people see in their heads when you say the word "MINIVAN"...which is why people are pretty much embarrassed to be seen driving them.

Has no one here ever head of www.thedodgegarage.com. Wow I'm shocked. These are where the really quick 10 and 11 sec 2.2L and 2.5L's Are at. Including Caravans with plood on the sides (plastic wood). Site is owned by Gary Donovan. He is known to be one of the best Chrysler 4cyl. turbo tuners period. Check out his what's new section then click on "everyone is going fast".

Hey Shadow! That sight is like the bible for the older turbo dodge guys and girls. I belong to another site "turbododge.com" and it too is an invaluable site. When a newbie starts asking questions on the board the first thing they are (told) to do is read the thedodgegarage web site in full then post their question. I wanted to build another 440 Dart or Duster but didnt have the $ to do so. While on the internet I ran across thedodgegarage.com, turbominivan.net and gusmahon.org and the wheels in my head started turning! I have $2300 in my van and it has new shocks and struts, brakes, tires, exhaust, AC, intercooler and more. I drive it daily and get 25+mpg. To me, thats not bad gas mileage for a 3200 pound 14 second vehicle. Gus is the one that started racing ther minivans first and was the first in the low 13's. He would have hit the 12's but he had some serious health problems that kept him from doing so. His buddy turned the first 12 second 1/4 mile in his van with the help of Gus and shortly after, Gus was killed on his new motorcycle. Gus is like the Godfather of turbo Dodges and rightfully so.

Is that a threat? You do what you gotta do, boss.
I just purchased a Gr Caravan Sport for my Wife, and I was looking for help, which is why I'm here. I flipped through this thread and I couldn't believe what I saw.
It's a free country and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Since this is a public forum and you posted a picture, I felt compelled to give my opinion.
I am happy (and sorry) for you that you invest so much time & money into such a hideous ride. IN MY OPINION, There are much nicer vehicles to invest that much time and money into.
I am sorry you don't agree...but that's MY OPINION - take it or leave it.
BTW: I LOOOOOOVE your Durango, if that's any consolation :rck:
Have a nice day.

Yes I am new to this site. Stumbled upon it by accident. But I love it. And no I'm not a newbie to Mopars. I have been around them all my life. In 2000 I had to sell my !969 Cuda 340 in order to build my house. I miss it but I can always find another one. I also had an 88 Daytona Shelby Z. And also helped friends over the years wrench on thier Mopars. I'm a diehard fan of the 340 X head motor. I've known about the DodgeGarage.com for years but in the short time I've been on this site I have seen no one mention it so I just thought I'd throw it out there. Silly me.

In MY opinion, insulting someones ride by calling it hideous is uncalled for. If you don't like it, don't post on the topic.

No its not a threat, just trying to be courteous with my reply but let you know your comment was out of line. I would say 99% of the people on this board would know better that to slam someones elses vehicle on any of the forums. The rule of thumb is...If you dont have anything good to say, then dont say it.

This is an awesome site and it has provided me with a lot of help with my Durango and for the most part, the people on this board are willing to help with any questions and concerns you may have on your truck. I had a 340 X head moter in my 76 Dart Sport before going to the 440. I wanted the torque for the street as it was great roasting the tires in 3rd gear. As far as the site you mentioned, I didnt know about it either until stumbled across it!

Thank you, I couldn’t have said it better. Its not like I think the van is gorgeous and the best looking vehicle of all times because its not! It’s the sleeper effect. Education Through Humiliation! I was going to build my Durango to get in the low 14's but it would have taken $5-8K to do so. That’s why I picked up the van. Cheap to buy, cheap parts and cheap to race.
