I was taking a look at Mopar Performance parts at Summit Racing.
Has anyone had any good or bad dealings with them?

they look good...

I've had some problems getting their valve covers to seal though... have to really bugger them up with silicone.

ok...I am looking at their intake manifolds. I wanna change it from 2 bbl to 4 bbl carb

an Edelbrock will be cheaper plus you can find them used for next to nothing sometimes

I've had better service from Mancini. Unlike Summit, they specialize in Mopar Performance and other aftermarket sources for parts for Mopars.

As far as MP parts are concerned, it depends on what you buy. Some parts are excellent and some are junk. If you're looking for a four barrel intake strictly for performance, you can get by a lot cheaper with a stock intake. They are heavier, but flow very well.

If you have a cooperative parts department at your local dealer, you might even be able to beat the mailorder price. The Dodge dealer where I used to buy parts would discount MP parts 25% for any Chrysler club member.

Go with the Eddy Performer intake, cheaper and you'll never notice the difference.

I will check that out... Speed didn't you suggest an Eddy performer carb to me before also?

I dunno, probably did though :D I like them, they are the evolution of the old AFB.

cool. :D What would you suggest? CFM? I noticed in the Eddy catalog that the electric choke are calibrated for fuel economy... How hard is it to switch to electric choke?

600cfm is plenty for you. Electric choke just requires a 12v wire run to it that's hot when the ignition is on.

cool... thanx speed:) Oh and another question... Are the 82 D150's EGR or Non-EGR or does that matter? I live in an area that doesn't have pollution controls. (Enough airports here, that they couldn't even if they wanted to)

They are EGR. You can either hook it up or not if you use a Performer, they are EGR compatible. It really won't make any difference either way.

I just saw new EFI kits for our trucks... I have always said I wanted fuel injection put in, when I got the truck. HAs anyone done such a swap in their truck?

After seeing the prices for the EFI Kit at Summit, I decided I will go ahead and change the intake and the carb instead. :D
