Ok, A little wile back I took the side case off my transmission before I collected more parts to install it.
I have the "How to build and modify high performance manual transmissions" book by Paul Cangialosi.
They said good things about Passon. That's almost all that the A-833 section was.
So I Emailed and called the guy, ordered some parts, sent my money and received my parts today. My gaskets look good and so does my shaft seal. I have yet to install them.
My front shifter fork looks like NOS, cool. Its "new" but when I pulled the rear (1-2?) fork out i knew something was going on. It has been glass blasted... Upon further inspection it looks like the fork was blended (don't BS me about blending damage, im an aircraft structures tech/ AMES, its half of what we do)
Suspicious as I was I decided to measure it. I know my vernier is rudimentary at best but it confirmed my suspicions... The new fork has less material then my old one I wanted to replace. WTF is up with that?
I called and left a message, I guess mountain time is somewhat different then PA where ever that is.
Here are some pictures. I know that my old ones don't have much wear but I figured for something like this I may as well get new wile I'm in there as its not a place I plan to visit allot on the future..
NOS, its fine:

Glass beaded and you can see how the wear pads aren't as pronounced as my "mildly used" original...

The "original" at 6mm

And the new one at much less.

Outside of this I was quite pleased with Passon, Helpful over the phone, Prices not as great as Mancini however they did have some parts Mancini didn't However Passon did throw in a new IBR seal "free" for me with the gaskets...
Have any of you had this kind of issue? He NEVER informed me that the parts were re conditioned old ones, Its like selling used brake drums after running them on a lathe to remove the grooves.
You guys think asking for a refund plus cost of shipping is unreasonable to ask?
