What do ya'll who've used rock auto think of their prices & part reliability ie: (electrical parts-distributors,dis caps), stuff like that. Also whats the return policy on electicals? Thx for the help.

I have purchased lots of parts from Rock Auto, and have been very pleased with their prices, service, and quality. They carry many different manufacturers goods, so you have to know what you want. After that, they can't be beat.

I've never bought anything electrical from them, but have bought other things, maybe 6-7 times. Prices are VERY hard to beat and service/shipping is top shelf.

Rock Auto rocks. Seriously.

I've bought all kinds of stuff from them, including electrical. They carry a wide range of brands, so you can go for the premium brands (generally advisable when it comes to key electrical components).

Their prices are generally rock-bottom. Especially if you catch a close-out sale.

Stuff ships fast, usually out the door the same day you order. Customer service is great, I've had to return some things on occasion and it's never a problem. Even stuff that's over 30 days old. I doubt they would take back any electrical parts that've been installed, though (I did return a defective voltage regulator I bought from them directly to the manufacturer, Standard Motor Products, after 6 months in the truck, SMP replaced it immediately for free).

The only thing I don't like about RA is the shipping charges. Depending on what you get, stuff will often ship from multiple locations, and you pay at least 7 or 8 bucks for each separate shipment. That can pretty much negate your savings, so it's about on a par with going down to your local NAPA. But on more expensive stuff, no question, I've saved a lot of money there over the years.

i did not buy electrical stuff but most of the stuff is good priced.the rotors were higher for them.the returns you will have to pay for,you will have to pull up the page for returns on there page.

i am with megunticook. i used them twice on big purchases, if you try to buy a few small things at the same time the shipping puts you well over what you can go to the store and get it for.
