how's everyone doing. i am starting to restore my 84 W150. as the more i take it apart the more rust there is on the cab. and since i am by no means a body guy it would be much easier to put a new cab on. dodge fans are far and few between where i live so i have to look here. also looking for a bigblock for it if i can get one for a good price

We have a nice clean '93 cab at the yard. PM me if you're interested, I'm about half a day from you, depending on what part of PA you are in.

theres a couple 81-85s by me with nice cabs, but they are 2WDs, the trans tunnel is different unless the 2WD truck has a granny low 4 speed trans. In particular I'm thinking of the "forest green" 85 in there. Its one of those trucks that is nice enough to make you wonder why it is there, instead of on the road. (though since I don't need a cab or any interior parts that would make me pull the mat, and since its sitting on its belly (they pull ALL wheels/tires before setting them out in the yard) so i can't get under it; I know where there were 2 or 3, 91-93s (the ones with the ugly grille) 1-ton bucket trucks in a U pull it; Tuesdays are 1/2 price! I do not remember particulars on them, other than they were "strippo" cabs, all plastic/vinyl; but somehow the 91-93s seemed to "lose" their rockers to rust, way faster than the earlier Dodges.

if the cab is a rust bucket, why not take the opportunity to try your hand at some metal work - what is the worst that can happen- it is already rusty

.... the trans tunnel is different unless the 2WD truck has a granny low 4 speed trans.....

The big trans tunnel is a bolt in. The small tunnel floors have a rib that marks where the big tunnel would go. You could transplant your big tunnel into and small tunnel cab quite easily. :)
