I have a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L 205,000 miles. A few months ago my oil light came on and my van refused to start. I checked the oil and was a court low. Finally, it started and I made it to a Checker and bought one qt end of that story.
Recently, the oil light came back on. I checked the oil level and the oil was good. But after turning the van off and back on the next day the light was gone but came on after about 15 minutes of driving then the van shut off. It took a long time to get it started.
I changed out the oil sensor and test drove it. 15 minutes later the light came back on. Before I change out the oil pump, I'd like some opinions on what else I should check.
I use Mobile1 15,000 mi fully synthetic with a Bosh Premium Filter and have run it the full 15k for years with no problems. I'm due for an oil change.
