Greetings, GrandCaravan5!
I've got ac problem, compressor engages approx 3 seconds after ignition on, fan is off and airflow not directed to defog. Without touching anything, whether driving or idling, compressor remains engaged, eventually causing frost on the pipes. Even if I turn on the fan just to let airflow into the inside (temp setting at minimal) compressor still wont disengage.
Someone said I might need to change the transducer.

How did you change the transducer on your car?

Since freon will need to be evacuated, maybe I should change other parts as well. What are the other parts that should be replaced?
Any help is greatly appreciated :)

the transducer is a switch next to the drier on the passenger side near the air filter a plug connects to it you can srew it off and you will not lose any freon

Just changed the transducer (got it from Autozone for less than $40). It only took me just a few minutes like you said, no freon loss. But now the compressor won't turn on. I did a recalibration, pressed ac and wash buttons for 5 sec, result is flashing ac and recirc LEDs.

you might need to check and see if you need a recharge

Whenever I put back the old transducer, compressor kicks in and blows cool air (as in the original problem).
When you installed the replacement transducer that you got from junkyard, did you do any calibration?

Thanks !!!
