My 2000 Caravan 3.3L has a rusty metal heater hose line where it runs around the front of the engine. I'm wondering if anyone has actually just replaced that expensive piece of metal hose with regular heater hose. I know there is some amount of heat generated there.

Replaced my rusted water line on a 95 Caravan with 5/8" hose.
Make sure that the hose is far enough away from the exhaust manifold.
I tie wrapped mine to the front engine mount bracket..works fine. :)
