smoke + squeak from engine Help Please

Hi,

I have a 97 caravan, I had it parked outside for about 5 month, did not drive it.
The battery was dead so I jump started the car, but then then smoke and sharp squeaky noise was coming out from the hood. I took a look and the smoke seems to be coming from the engine or belt areas. The engine oil also seems to be low or empty.

Can someone give me some advice? should i buy some engine oil? if so which kind? or is that even the problem?

please help i have no experience with cars.

Sounds like you have an alternator or AC compressor locked up causing the smoke & squeal. Check your pullies to see which one is not turning.
As for oil....check your manual to see what grade it calls for then add some.
