I bought a used 91 Dakota recently, and discovered that the only setting on the air system fan that works is high. I thought it might be a fuse problem, but I don't have the owners guide to see which fuse would control those fans. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be the problem, or can give me the fuse numbers to check that control the air system? Thanks!

Chances are it is your resistor block. Check out this thread.

Hope that solves your problem.

hey more than likely your blower resistor is bad. the blower resistor is on the passenger side of the fire wall it should have 5 or 6 wires on the block ,it mounts right thriw the fire wall and when you pull it out it will have a bonch of spings on it that should be the problem

I had the same problem and, from the bone yard, I swapped a heater control out of a 93 into my 87 dak. all fan controls work now.
