I installed a vehicle speed sensor on my van yesterday and still unable to pass emissions test.My test came back rejected. I disconnected the battery already to reset the codes. The emission testing said that my computer isnt ready to be tested. What can i do to get it ready.

Just drive around in different conditions for a couple days. The cycle involves certain different conditions, like 30 min at 40 mph, then 5 min idle, then 20 min under 170 deg F, then 3 miles with your arm out the window, etc, whatever it is, someone might have it here to post, but usually you hit all the conditions by accident after just a couple days driving. The PCM needs all these to test all the inputs. Until that's done, it can't give you all the data needed in an e test. That's what happens if you disconnect the power or reset the PCM with a tool. If the cause of the CEL is not corrected, the light comes back on once the PCM has tested that parameter. If the CEL was not on in the first place, what makes you think there were any fault codes stored? I can't say what caused the test failure but how does a VSS affect emissions?
