First off a little history as to whats going on...
Transmission keeps going into limp mode..at first most times I could reset it by key-off-back on but now a lot of times this doesn't do it any more..Took the van to my local trans garage (friend of mine up the road) Run a scan that came up with something about reverse solenoid (can't remember exactly now).and to check wiring..He visually checked wires and said all looked ok..Put a new solenoid pack in..but still have the same issues..I am thinking its wiring related because more recently it has gotten much worst and now sometimes it will do this driving down the road at 55mph and it will fall out of gear until I get slowed down to 30-40mph..Used to just do it while putting it into gear.
Trans guy says it could be a bad solenoid pack as he has had this happen with new ones before..And also was thinking about running a jumper wire from the solenoid pack to the TCM to see if it is wiring..He was going to see if he could find out which wire (color) would be for the reverse part of the solenoid pack for running the jumper wire..Wondering if anyone had any other ideas and if anyone could help with the wire to bypass I might give that a shot myself as he is real busy and backed up right now..I want to get this fixed..
Forgot to mention that it is a 1993 Grand Voyager with a 3.3 motor..
Also a couple years ago I had a wiring issue that prevented the van from getting spark..Ended up having some corroded wires under the battery box..I think the TCM is in that location and thats what makes me wonder if this is really just a wire issue..Why do they put all this wiring under that Batt. where it is exposed to the corrosion anyway?
Thanks for any ideas/help ect..
Kevin
