I have a 6 cylinder, 2000 stratus and I just noticed the fan hasnt been coming on even though its 90 degrees outside and I have the air on. The temp. gage isnt reading hot though. Is there a problem or not? We have drained and refilled the radiator.

I have an 02 Stratus with the 2.7L Magnum and I get the same thing. A/C works fine and the temp guage never climbs. I have only once had the fan come on. It was in 95 degree / 95% humidity weather with the A/C on max in stop and go traffic and even then it shut off almost immediately. The owner's manual also mentions that the engine will cool down to cold at idle even on a hot day.

Sounds like the tempature sending unit is bad. On a 2000 I don't know there that is. Get a chiltons or haynes manual and It should tell you. Should expect to pay $50 for a sensor.
