95 Stratus ES Fuel Fill Hose

When I disconnected the fill hose from the tank, I found another 1/2 in dia hose inside and got a kink in it. When I would try to fill up the tank, the nozzle would act as if it was full. So then I cut the smaller hose able the kink and know it is worse than before.

I went to the dealership and they didn't have a clue about the smaller hose and said it didn't exist. They are full of it.

Can some explain if the smaller hose is like a breather hose and where I could find a replacement.

One more thing. When I filled [attempted] to fill it up today, I heard a gurgling noise. I think it's related.

This does sound like your breather vent hose. The gurgling happens when the fuel goes in both holes. If the dealer is not working with you, either try a different dealer or a junk yard. You might be able to find one that was wrecked in the front so you can get the pieces you need.
