i just purchased a 98 stratus 2 weeks ago and was driving along and the car lost all power and the rpms went to o and the car died. After letting it set for a few minutes it started then died 2 minutes later. We have already replaced fuel filter,and temp sensor. Any ideas on what is wrong?

I had the PCM go out on an older Charger I had ... it did the same thing
You also did a complete tune up ? Cap / rotor / wires plugs ?

My 2000 Dodge Stratus did almost the same things yesterday. It was running like a brand new one and then just quit like I turned the switch off or something. A computer was put to it and it said the camshaft position sensor went bad, we put one in and it still is not running. It will crank, run just a min or less and go dead again. Do u have any ideas? I am lost and confused.

Same thing with my 1998 stratus and it was the coil inside the distributor

I would have to go with an ignition problem on the 12V side. Ignition module/pickup coil/associated wiring kind of thing. My first hunch is the pick up coil.
