so after I put my window/lock switch back in, I tried out the window to make sure the switch was still working correctly, and I discovered that the passenger window is rather slow going up for the first 2 thirds of it. (I never had that one down since it hasn't been nice enough) Thinking the track just needs some lube, anybody know what is reccomended? Normal silicone spray, or something goopier?

Don't know. I would have said take it to the dealer for warranty work. Not sure if it would be covered since in your other post you hacked the power lock on the passenger side.

Call me crazy, I don't like going to a dealer for a little shot of lube. The window button sends a signal to the ecm, and the ecm sends power back to the window. The way the switch is designed, it either works, or it doesn't. it's not like the old days when the switch directly went to the motor. If I damaged the switch putting it back together, it simply would not work at all. I didn't 'hack' anything, just figured out 'how' to hack it. The window is binding up a tiny bit in the bottom end. I'm gonna have the door apart in a few days anyway, just want to confirm what to lube the track with while I'm in there.

I have used a Teflon spay in the past to lube widow tracks. It worked pretty well.

I also like to do a lot of maintenance myself. But I also look at that is what the warranty is for. Got to take mine in for a passenger side rattle. Thought it was the wheel well lining, but that's not it.

Silicone spray

I agree on that's what the warranty's for, but my big thing is weighing the inconvenience of taking it in, which for me is a PITA. If the silcone won't work, then yes, it will be going in eventually. If it's something simple like this, I'd rather fix it myself than take it in.

Just an update, the silicone spray in the window channels did the trick.

there would not be a warranty issue because the keyless entry would not cause anything wrong with the windows
