Has anyone tried this and does it work?

If it does, anyone having one of these alying around the garage taking up space? :D

I am also thinking about trying to get a short throw shifter and maybe even a set of SRT-4 wheels.

I would just go with a aftermarket kit instead. Borla makes a really sweet sounding setup for the 2nd gen Neons

I just put on a Borla dual catback. It went on super easy within 1.5 hours and sounds great. Here is a picture. Feel free to ask me any other questions about it. :D

DoItYourselfer,

I love the way it looks, but not as much as I like the cover over your 3rd stoplight! Where do I get one?

The reason I am looking for a SRT-4 one is cost. I am hoping to get it for really cheap. How much was your borla exhaust?

Is the SRT-4 exhaust loud because people are running it without the glass packs or is it just louder on the 2.0L engines?

Enough questions for now?

Its loud cause it has no mufflers only two resonators, guy did it around here and the Damn thing is LOUD!!!!!! I think he measured the sound level at 118db

The SRT-4 exhaust is a straight pipe (I believe 3 in) with no mufflers at all. The turbo quiets an engine down TREMENDOUSLY. Because of the diameter of the exhaust pipe, you will also lose a lot of power. You need more back pressure than the big pipe's diameter will give you. Chances are you'd be backfiring like crazy too.

mine is louder because im usin no catz.. no restriction equals more flow n gives your horsepower.... its great you could feel the power top end and 2.5 str8 pipe is perfect pipe for a N/A car... later
