Is the ramcharger frame width the same as the D100?

I want to put a hitch on my truck and the only one I found at my local yard is off a mid 80's ramcharger.

Thanks

As far as I know, the chassis are all the same.... (Exception of course different set-up for 2WD/4x4) .... But the width should be the same.....

Of course it doesn't hurt to to bring a tape measure along and make sure.. ;)

Yeah the tape measure was my next plan. Never hurts to check here though, in case there was some other problem I couldn't forsee.

I will still have to cut a notch for the spare tire carrier. Thanks bherder.

Yeah the only thing that kept me from saying 'Yes They're All The Same" is that you have either the 'behind-the-seat' gas tank or the 'Along-the-frame' gas tank .... And I know that the Ramchargers came with 'In-the-ass-end' gas tank, so I wasn't sure if there were any differences between the two ....
Although, from a 'production' stand point, it would make sense for The Dodge Boys to make all the frames the same, and make eveything else fit into that, know what I mean? ;)

I have an in-cab setup on mine but since my spare is in the same place as the tank on the Ramcharger, all things being equal the hitch should fit as long as the frame width is the same. I was thinking the same thing concerning the production standpoint.

I could have sworn I'd seen something in these forums about frame width and Ramcharger gas tanks, I'll be darned if the search came up with anything. Anyway off to the wrecker tomorrow with tape in hand and a breaker bar. I'll post how it goes in case anyone else gives a hoot.

They are the same. I just finished putting the gas tank and all rear crossmembers in my 80 D-100.

Ah, Henry Ford would be proud. As far as I know the model shares the exact same frame as the SWB W-100, which is the same as the D-100 except for the additional crossmember for the t-case on the W, plus I think maybe the front crossmember is slightly different (I'd have to check the FSM). But certainly they all share the same rails and width dimension.
