the truck is in the shop today and hope to get it back tomorrow.i am hoping to have time to work on replacing the lines in the dash.can i use vaseline to put on the canisters to help put the lines on or something else.there is a canister on bottom side of center concole where your left foot is at with a yellow hose if you are not sure what i am talking about.thanks

Personally ....
I would use something synthetic ... Like a silicone grease/lube .... Over something that is petroleum based like Vaseline.... Only because you know the synthetic stuff isn't going to 'rot' the rubber, where as a petroleum based stuff, who knows?

actually on those heater/ac lines you do not need anything to put them on. if all you have is the yellow(or brown red green or gray) line then the rubber line has fallen off and needs to be replaced.

the lines coming off of the climate control is 7 lines about 12 inches long.this connects to the other lines.the connecter part is torn,damage whatever you want to say.i got all the parts i need from a junkyard.i was wondering what i could use to push the lines on the canisters.will i have better air flow and better defroster now?thanks

take out that hard plastic part and just use tiny vacuum lines between the back of the control unit and the colored lines...should be like 6 lines 8-11 inches long

My connector for these lines just broke today. Does anyone have a diagram to show which lines connect to what ones?
