I want to put manual locking hubs on my 87 w150 how difficult is this or is it even posssible w/out changing the front axle.

not sure think it is the stock frontend has all the vacume lines i dont know if any of the 4x4 works the transfercase wont go into 2H and the front drive shaft is gone

You mean brake lines?
You might want to get a hold of a factory service manual and familiarize yourself with that axle if you plan to work on this stuff yourself...

more than likely your front end is a D44. I have an 87 W150 318 auto with a D44 up front. Would also like to know whats involved with the manual hub conversion.

no they are vaccum lines that go too the dissconnect housing

D 44 has a 4X4 motor accuator that has to be locked when using the manual hubs.
