All of the 09 Ram 1500 Quad 4X4's come with 3.55 gears. Is there that much differnce with the 3.93 for towing?

It can pull approx. 1300 more pounds. You also get another 1000 pounds or so if you ahve the 17" instead of the 20" wheels.

Wheel size has nothing to do with towing. Tire size, on the other hand, can help. If you go smaller tires, it is like going with a deeper gear, and will give better tow performance since smaller means easier to start rolling from a stop.
