I traded in my 04, (details in the rollcall thread,) and kept my trailer brake controller, I cut the wires at the original splice and put the wiring plug pigtail that came with the towing package back in the glovebox of the tradein planning on useing the new one on my new truck. After a week of bliss I noticed that the wiring pigtail wasn't in the new truck, after calling dealer found out this is no longer included in towing package, they sell them for $ 28.00s, first is this true (not the selling part :D but not included part) and 2 has the plug changed in the last few years, I think I can buy one cheaper off ebay or wreaking yard but need to know what years would fit, anybody know?

Don't know if you resolved this issue yet, but my '09 came with a new pigtail. It was in the center console. It's the exact same as the previous trucks. At least back to 05 anyway.

Thanks, no I haven't got one yet, I pull a travel trailer and don't use it in the winter, was your truck a 1500? When I went and asked for it at the dealer they told me they quit including it in 07
