I just bought my 06 AWD RT when the lease come due. It has almost 33000 miles and I would like to get the car thoroughly checked out before the warenty is up. It has new Mich. tires but they are not perfectly ballanced because the steering wheel vibrates betwen 58-70. Dodge did just replace my wheels under warenty because the clear coat was peeling and I talked them into using the sticky wheelweights on the inside of the rims. On a side note,I thought the wheels looked exactly the same until I noticed I was getting better than 1 mpg better average mpg and looked closer and noticed a couple of small changes. They must be lighter for me to get better mpg which is a good thing. I am intending to take the car to the tire place that sold me the Mich. and turned my rotors to get the wheels perfectly balanced and want to get under there while its on the hoist and look for my self for any potential problems or excesive wear. Other than obvious things like belts and hoses is there anything specific to the AWD RT LX cars that I should be looking at?
After I get it looked at I want to bring it to a dealer and have them check the engine mapping and update if it needs it. Anything I should know before messing with the engine mapping?
It may be me but this 06 AWD car does not feel as smooth as the first 05 2wd RT. The tranny stutters in city driving sometimes and I swear I feel the MDS bumping now and then. Then there is the wierd clicking noise I hear under drivers side hood area under very slight acceleration or load. It sounds like a solenoid clicking about as fast as you can say kitty kitty. Honestly  If I give it a little more gas I can feel it kick in and the noise stops as if the engine smooths out. Its not very loud and it may be due to the K&N CAI so I have been ignoring it. Thanks guys and Happy New Year to all.
