I just bought a 2002 Intrepid ES 3.5L (man i love this car lol not as much fun as my old Dak with a 360 but gettin close). I only received one key and keyless entry remote with it when i bought it, It has the grey key so i know i have to go to the dealer for that but i was wondering can the remotes be programed by me? Reason i ask is the stealership wants almost 50 bucks for one granted there saying tht comes programed or at least he said it "should" come programed but i dont see th eneed to spend the money. I did a quick search and didnt see any info on this. any help would be greatly appreciated.

to the best of my knowledge you really cant program the key yourself, I worked at a circuit city and when somebody had only one key fob and wanted a remote start put in their car they had to go to the dealership to get a 2nd key fob... I mean theres got to be a way out there to do it though

I paid 25 to Chrysler mechanic to program key. Paid 30 for 3 blanks and 5 to cut.
I can sell blank for $10+5 shipping

Do you have the overhead display console (the EVIC)? You can use that to program fobs yourself if so.
