I'm hoping that someone can help me with this. Someone knocked off the driver sideview mirror on my 2003 Grand Caravan SE. Of course they didn't stop and leave their insurance information after they did it so I am on the hook for the repair. I am hoping to save some cash by doing this myself. It looks easy enough to replace, except for the wiring for the power controls. (I don't believe it is heated) I'm not sure where the wire plugs in inside the car or how to access it. If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.

I found these instructions but it is for an older model caravan so I do not believe it applies to my 2003

Thanks very much,

Matt

P.S. I was trying to search the forum to see if this question had already been asked but I couldn't find a search tool.

It looks like its the same as the one on my 98 c/van. It should take you less that 30 minutes to change. When you pull the mirror out you will see the wiring connector. before removing it turn on your rear defroster and touch the mirror glass to feel if its heated.
I have bought a few caravan mirrors on ebay at good prices.

The mirror is smashed so I can't test for heat. The wire is still intact, but I need to know how to attach the wire from the new mirror.

there should be a plug on the new mirror, you will see it when you remove it.
you can turn on your defroster and feel the passenger mirror, if you have heated mirrors they will both warm up.
