Transmission - Lost reverse and 2nd/3rd??

Greetings Everyone, I have a 91 plymouth grand voyager with the 3.3 motor For just over 100k miles it has been mostly trouble free. Yesterday, I pulled out of a parking space and out into traffic. I was fine until the trans tried to shift to second gearand then i heard I heard a clunk and I was in neutral and ended up coasting to the roadside. If you shut it off and restart it you can again move the van in "d" until the trans trys to shift out of first gear and then you lose drive and hit neutral again. At this same time, i have also totally lost reverse and it never comes back. Help! anyone have any ideas? This transmission never slipped and always worked fine. The fluid is also redish and not burned. Could this be the solenoid problem I keep reading about in the other posts ?
