Hello,

Installed a Mopar remote start system about 2-3 years ago and starting last year (yeah I know the wiFe has been hounding me for a year) it's only working from about 10 feet or less. Tried replacing the batteries in the remote and still no go.

Any ideas? could it be the antenna module? or the antenna iteself? I checked to make sure the antenna was plugged in and it is.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Sounds like it's on it's way out. it's common on those units. The range drops then the part that the antenna hooks up to on the board gets fried.

I wouldn't start messing around with it too much you should be able to get that one removed and an aftermarket one installed with much better range and reliability under 200

Or, Being it into an aftermarket installer. They will be able to quickly diagnose it or be able to suggest a good aftermarket.

Maybe it's something as simple as antenna placement but the Mopar starters didn't really get decent until they started factory installing them High Failure Rate

I got 2 different key fobs and one works better than the other.
