Well I got sick of looking at it sitting in my driveway and my wife wont let me sell it, so its going for paint. I figure if I cant sell it then it should look good and be used.

It is olive green with a white top now and I have a week before they finish the floors and body work to choose my color. I have a few in mind. Tell me what you think.

Metallic Black like the new 300's
Standard Black
Olive Green
Forest Green like the late 90's Daks
Gun Metal Grey
Bright Silver Metallic

I was thinking either the Black or the Forest Green. Its not gonna be a show truck so I dont want it perfect. I am gonna use it to tow my boat and it will be lettered with my company logo on the doors.

If you go back to the olive green it will save you from having to paint the interior and engine bay. I like the older greens but maybe that's just me.

I would like to see what the olive green looks like on your truck. Do you have the paint code? or any pics? I have a 1976 stepside as well and am toying with the idea of painting it soon.

Its a commercial only paint code. Its paint code 44379 Olive Green. Its green with the white top and was originally a SC State Division of Forestry-Soil Conservation Truck. Originally a 318/727/9 1/4 limited slip, now has a 360HP,727, 9 1/4 limited slip. Had green interior metal, black dash and white bench/white door panels. I put grey heated power leather fom a Durango in it. Here is one pic of it. I will post more tomorrow.

So why do they call it gun metal? All my guns are either black or stainless!

Hey thanks for the pic, I like the color very much. I don't really think you could go wrong with any of those color choices you listed. Did you notice a big difference from the 318-360?

I havent even run the engine yet. Speed Demon built the engine and came over and installed it. Sooo, hopefully it runs well!!! LoL!! I am thinking I am gonna go with a green.

I'm not a huge fan of green, but that is a green I could live with ;) It's green, but it's almost black....

VERY NICE truck there MNMLC!! Looks like you have eleven-teen coats of clear on that. VERY 'deep' looking.. ;)

What color is your boat? A matching tow rig might be cool..

Post a pic of it in ythe Concept / Modified forum, and let the photoshop guys "paint" it any number of colors you are thinking about

that way, you can get a feel for what the real thing would look like without spending a dime

Right now white with no graphics. The interior is white with grey black and teal stripes. All of this is gonna be changed. I am having the boat re-painted and interior redone this summer hopefully.

hey 67 coronet since you own a glass company I gotta ? for you. My 76 dodge d100 has a foggy look all around the windshield. I used Stoner invisible glass a buncha times on it but that wont get it off. Is it on the inside of it or is there a solvent out there that will cure my problem?

Unfortunately the guy that I bought it from wouldn't give me his information. For some reason ... it would have been nice to see what had been done prior to me owning it.

The only cure is to replace the glass. The foggy look is called lami seperation. Its when the inner lamination seperates from the layers of glass. The plastic lamination turns white when exposed to water and air.

My '76 W100 is that color. According to the build sheet it is Dark Green Metallic #PY7776

the foggy look around the edges is delamination of the glass combined with moisture I believe - new windshield if you want to cure it

Sounds like a DW914GBN to be put in! Does that sound about right 67 Coronet?
