Pain in the ### dipstick(HELP)

First off Thanks for the help on rewireing the 78 power wagon no way could we be this far without your help. Now the dipstick in this dam thing is broke off even with the block have tryed needle nose and have used 1/2 can of wd-40 but that broken off ####### will not come out. I know you guys will come up with something ,pictures comeing soon of the rebuild. Thanks

You may have to drop the pan and drive the remains of the dip-stick tube out from the bottom

I had an '85 voyager with a 2.2 L 4 banger and a 5-speed; the same thing happened
I cut the dip stick off by a corresponding length to match the missing length of the tube and drove for three years until the tin-worm rendered the body into a swiss cheese condition. At least I had a rough indication of how much oil was in the crankcase

use a tap and try to thead it in to it and pull it out with it. if you get 3 or 4 threads you could put a bolt in it and pull with it.

Thanks guys I like the tap idea, not that droping the oil pan is bad just a pain.

Put grease on the flutes of the tap to collect metal particles that are cut by it. Also depending on how tight the tube is it might pull-out with just the tap. (It worked for me years ago.)
