I am helping a friend swap a 318 EFI complete with auto tranny from a 1991 RamCharger into a 1990 van which originally only had what I would call "throttlebody-injection" with only 2 injectors for the 2 barrel throttlebody. The problem is that the engine going in the van has 8 injectors going directly into the cylinders. We have the complete wiring harness including the brainbox from the RamCharger to swap into the van but we are not sure if the fuel pump that is in the van now will put out enough fuel for the additional fuel injectors. This is the first time we have ever attempted something like this so if there is anybody here that has done this before then please let us know what we need to do in order to complete this swap. Thanks in advance

i'd pull the other fuel pump out of the ram charger just to be safe but it should work out fine

you'll have to lengthen and shorten a lot of wires, you will definitely need the fuel pump(MPI uses more pressure than TBI). it's doable, it would be a lot easier w/ a MPI van wiring harness. also check your linkage for the tranny, the MPI throttle body may not have a provision for it.
