2.7 bleed valve replacement

How do I replace the coolant bleed valve on a 2001 2.7 engine.
Do I need to remove the upper intake to access the bolts? If yes, what is the recomended precedure for removal of the upper intake?

I did it on Sebring 2.7, I had to remove intake. That plastic part is made of 2 or 3 pieces welded together, seem is usually leaking. What a stupid design! I talked to a dealer mechanic, they don't remove intake, they use swivel socket.
