Vent visors are a MUST to help deal with parked cars under the HOT Florida sun. The Durango 'in-channel' customed vent visors look A LOT SLEEKER and are barely noticeable compared to the standard visors the are glued to the door's exterior. I'm getting ready to get the in-channel ones, but saw no D's in this site's picture gallery with them. I even noticed that only a couple of D's in the gallery have the exterior vent visors. Any comments on first-hand experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I know a number of people who have them. Thet work great and ytou don't have the problems of tape on the body. Yes they you are right that they provide a better look.

I have a set on mine and I love them....

They are a little scary to install, becuase you have to bend/flex them to insert them into the channels....but they are remarkabley flexible...I did mine in wintertime too, so it should be no problem in the spring......

I didnt like the look of the stickon ones....but be warned they ARE pricier...but I think the look is worth the extra $.

The only thing I do not care for is that where the visor meets the weatehrstrip on the bottom, near the mirror, it is basically a force fit/friction fit and it constantly puts pressure on the weastehr strip...I dunno what that will mean long term.....so far no problems that I can tell.

I have also noticed a slight squeeky noise when the window is part way down...but that COULD be something other than the visor...havent figured that one out yet.....A little silicon spray will solve that one probably....

I will try to get a closeup picture of mine.....My picture in my gallery has them from a wide shot.

I have these on all 3 vehicles (Ram, Durango and Dakota). They have the best profile I have seen. They work great.

$89  I don't think I paid more than $40 for my exterior ones. It also looks like the exterior ones are darker?????

Yes, the price is a bit more. However they are so many times better. Theyre made from impact-resistant plastic about twice as thick as exterior ones..so when that tree branch smacks it it wont crack and break into a thousand pieces like the exterior ones do. Plus you dont have that tape and visor covering the paint.

I own the Weathertech ones and have used them for almost 1.5yrs. They are excellent and even cut down the wind noise on the Durango a little.
