Greetings. These parts are good for a week or two of -30 to -50c weather each year. I have a 96 5.2 l. She doesn't like the cold. I am going to add another heater and plug in both. It gets expensive leaving her run. My choices are an inline that does NOT circulate, an inline that DOES circulate, a tank style circulatory, and a magnetic oil pan element. Are there more? I would like to ask what you have experienced to be the most effective. Thanks.

There is also an oil dipstick heater. Though where I live I do not need to preheat the engine but where you are I would recommend and oil pan heater and the water heater that circulates. I have worked on small aircraft and the oil pan heaters work really good.
If you have not already done so I would use 5W-30 oil, and a 70% antifreeze to 30% water. That should be good to -84 degrees F.
Another suggestion is a battery heater pad. That will help keep the battery's power up where it will turn the starter easier.

Most effective for me has been a block heater or freeze plug heater. The can be installed on both sides of the engine block on some models. They are somewhat of a pain to install but they do seem to last a long time if you keep up with your coolant changes and flushes.
