Cab roof is rusting inside and out! Has anyone had this repaired short of replacing entire cab? Looks like previous owner tried to patch with bodyfiller. Did'nt work to well! Truck came from Florida so other than roof body is in solid condition. Thanks Mike

Our '77 Warlock has a lot of rust at the front of the cab above the windshield too.
Does anyone sell roof patch pannels?

Not that I am aware of, but it shouldn't be too hard to find a donor truck with a solid roof skin.
BTW, as nearly as I can tell, the roof rusts because the cab gets wet inside, not the other way around.

I think the rust is caused by a failure of the caulking in the drip rails allowing water to get inside.
If you also have rusty floors it would be easier to replace the cab, if you can find a good one. Be sure to keep your serial number if you do replace it...

This truck sat under a tree for a long time, the roof is the only bad rust.
Being a Warlock with A/C I think I will try my hand with making patch panels or find a wrecking yard I can buy a roof from.
