This is for all members that plow with older Dodge trucks. I have old Meyers plow setup that came off 70's vintage Dodge sno commander or sno fiter not sure which exactly. The system was installed incorrectly on 1984 W150 with plow pump replacing power steering pump, eliminating power steering. I want to reinstall plow on 1986 W250 with proper placement of plow pump. Anyone with photo's, manuals or first hand advice or God bless you parts you no longer need Please contact me miked@avci.net or reply here with contact information. Thank you all for help in this matter Mike:help:

Thanks for the reply. Been there done that. The replys to my post all seem to lean to good luck with that to switch to electro-hydraulic pump (cost prohibitive) I will giter done one way or another. Trying to figure out the brackets on the 86 right now. Previous owner installed larger alternator but omited some of the brackets for AC and Pwr steering. The kicker is the belts and components are not the same configuration as my 84. Turns out not going to be a simple plow swap.

Mike,
I run a Fisher plow on my '73 W100. I am just now correcting a shop installation done back in '03 that "worked" but was poorly set up and a PITA.
First off, have you been in touch with Meyer on this? Fisher has all their old schematics and diagrams on their website, not sure if Meyer does too. There are also some old parts still in production for the belt drive systems, but not many.
In the Fisher setup the pump is mounted on a special bracket that bolts to the waterpump housing and alternator pivot bolt. The plow pump sits above and to the side of the alternator. I am just setting this up correctly now on my rig (shop installed it mickey-mouse fashion above the p.s. pump, running off the water pump--it should run off the crank).
It took a bunch of emails and phone calls to Fisher dealers to track down the proper bracket, which I finally found used at a salvage place.
Try Stork's Automotive in Pennsylvania, they're online and they have a pile of old plow parts.
I would grab the email addresses of all the Meyer dealers on their website and send out an email asking for the part numbers you need.
Good luck! Let us know how you make out.
p.s. Some of the Fisher and Meyer stuff is interchangable under the hood, I've been told. If push comes to shove, you might be able to run a Fisher pump setup...

Thank you for the input. Contacted stork's auto and they say that they have them but are unable the send pictures. Price is reasonable but I am still reluctant to buy sight unseen, got burned a few times buying aircraft parts online. From what I have read at Plowsite.com the Fisher belt driven pump was the gold standard, virtually bullet proof. It may come to that if I can't get the Meyers parts I need. If it was'nt for the internet and sites like this and others it would be near impossible to keep these older Dodges going. Found the brackets I need to correct Alt and AC mounting at moparpartsamerica.com and a good source for manuals Dodgeboys.net. All I know for certain at this point, WINTERS coming. Thanks again Mike

Not sure why they wouldn't send a photo...I bought a hub for the Dodge off them last winter, young Jeen was friendly enough and took the time to answer my questions and take a digital photo. I even had him take a few measurements. He also said I could return it if it wasn't right. Seemed like a decent family-run outfit.
That said, I did phone and email him recently when I was trying to hunt down that Fisher bracket, he wasn't as helpful and never did get back to me on whether he had a Meyer bracket that would work--I ended up finding the Fisher here in Maine.
Not sure which motor you have or what your belt configuration is like, but this schematic at Fisher might be helpful:

Did you contact Meyer about this? Their website isn't very helpful but they must have those old parts lists and diagrams on file somewhere...
