UI recently have had a strange issue with my 2001 1ton van. It just stopped running on the freeway. With no warning signs at all. I am getting no spark, and I cannot hear the Fuel pump kick on. I am thinking that this may be the ECM, but am unsure. Does anyone know if there may be a fuse or some such that could be out? I have checked all fuses in the box in the cab, and the fuses in the box under the hood all appear to be good (not melted). I'm out of guesses, except maybe the ECM.:bawl: Any help or advice would be great!

No spark and no fuel pump, all fuses good, does lay about 80% odds that the problem is the ECM (PCM).

I figure that is where I'm headed with this. Do you happen to know how I could program a replacement? Every parts house I check with says that the replacement has to be programmed with the VIN, and mileage. Is there someplace that I can get one preprogrammed?

They're incorrect, reprogramming is not necessary if you buy the right one (match the numbers exactly). But if it did have to be reprogrammed, you would have to go to the dealer for that service.
