how hard is it to install and get everything to work together. including 4 speed overdrive trans? I can get a 1994 ram van with 66,000 miles for $475. thats why I'm asking. thanks

I did a swap like this back in the early 90's.
Physically, everything fits. the eng and trans wil bolt up. The probs start in the electrics. we ended up changing the underhood and underdash wirelooms, ( whcih you won't be able to do from a van to a pu), and also had to customize the wiring for the column ( something about the column kept us from changing it to the later-model, I don;t remember what....maybe the cruise control ?)
The computors from the late model will need to be used, also need the fuel tank ( to get the TBI to work you need the in-tank pump). The tank from the van will not work in your pu.
To do this swap you really need a donor pu, not a van.

OH< forgot the driveshaft.... the van shaft will be to short....
