I just bought a 1979 D100 sweptline 8', 318 2bbl automatic. It runs great and drives great, but a lot of little things are wrong with it. The passenger side door latch/handles are hincky, the cruise control doesn't work, and it doesn't have an a/c compressor.
I am not very mechanical, but I can follow directions. I can't seem to find a shop manual or something similar to the Clymer's I've had for other past vehicles.
Does anyone here (I'm a noob here, so be nice:)) have any favorite online sources of parts? I know about JC Whitney, but can't seem to find any ohter sites that I would trust. I am also looking to possibly go to a stake bed if I can find one I can afford.....
Thanks for your time and I look forward to reading the other threads.

I use RockAuto for 75% of my parts--very aggressive pricing, fast shipping, and customer service is great if you ever need to return anything. Excellent quality stuff if you stick with decent brands like Standard Motor Products, for example.
I've also ordered stuff from Summit, they seem like an excellent operation. NAPA now and again, although you pay a bit of a premium sometimes. Avoid the super saver stores for parts unless you're getting a namebrand part from a reputable manufacturer. "Made in USA" is always a good sign, but harder and harder to find and not a 100% guarantee.
As far as manuals, a Dodge factory service manual is far and away the most useful reference. You can get these on CD for about $50 at Detroit Iron (http://www.detroitironis.com/

I appreciate the reponses, guys. I'm going to be looking for dash components, vent ducts, a/c components, and cruise control parts. I just got this truck yesterday and am getting into it as money allows. Mechanically it is OK for now, but I won't leave it alone once I get the rest of it done!
Thanks for the info, gents.

A lot of what you're looking for is gonna be where a junk yard is your best friend.

Amen to that brother! A LOT of what I am looking for doesn't matter if it is new or used, but some parts like the fresh air ducts, the a/c coversion kit to run 134, and that kind of stuff I want new parts. There are a lot of salvage yards up here in Oklahoma City and I'm looking forward to next Friday when I go to the first one to go look for an a/c compressor.
That's half the fun of having an old truck!
