is there anything special that has to be done with a /6 or does the same hei mod work other than having to get a rotor cap for a /6. Also what benefit do you get exactly w/conversion? if u dont mind me asking & yes i read the how to just not 100% sure on how it affects engine. Thx.

I used the Mopar Performance electronic conversion kit on my 5th Ave. I think it is still available for the slant 6.Summit used to have it but I can't find it on their site. Might be worth a phone call if you want to go that way.

One way is to use the Mopar performance ignition conversion kit. Mancini Racing, Summit, and Jeg's should have it.:gr_patrio

Charlie,

I thought of that, too, but I wasn't sure if MP made one for the Slant Six.

I once "de-horned" a Lean-Burn-equipped 360 by gutting the computer box attatched to the air cleaner, cutting a hole in the bottom of it for the new plug, running an extra ground wire to it and installing the MP orange box into it -- a perfect fit!. It was a total "stealth" installation except for the presence of the vacuum advance on the distributor and the port I had to drill for its hose in the Thermo-Quad's base.
