Window glass dropped out ... surprise !

Hi y'all:

Been a while since I posted here. Hope all has been well with everyone here in the meantime !

I'm driving along and all of the sudden, wham, the window glass on the Drivers Side just drops down with no warning.

The power motor still makes it's normal sound, but the glass won't move.

(I can push the window up with some effort & use tape to keep it up to the frame...)

Obviously it's come detached from the regulator mechanisim.

If anyone has had this happen and can advise, I'd appreciate it very much. :SPIN:

This happened to my '89 b250 last november.

Basically the c channel that the window rests in was rusted so badly it disintegrated.

The C channel was connected to a wider shorter 'U' channel in which the wheel for the lift mechanism rides.

Luckily My neighbor has a welding unit and enough scrap laying around that we fabricated up a new c channel and welded it to the U channel.

Took less than 2 hours, and I was on my way to Mexico.

Waiting for my passsenger window to do the same.

The windows in my '94 are "loosey goosey" I should take the door panels off and have a look see.
