Passenger side NOS inner fenders seem readily available, but not driver side. Anybody know where I can get one? Used is fine as long as it's in decent shape.
Whatever happened to the fellow who ran powerwagonparts.net? It looks like he lost his domain name this summer and the site is gone. He had a lot of handy parts on there, mostly old military NOS stuff from the seventies, including inner fenders. Is he still in business?
On another note...anybody know where I can get a new radiator core support? Doesn't have to be NOS, just solid..mine is rusting badly and looks like it may be sagging a bit on the driver side.
Finally, Bherder, if you're reading this, where's that place where you got the Asian aftermarket fenders for $50 in Spokane? I'd like to get in touch with them and see if they'd ship a couple out to me.
Thanks. Hoping to clean up the body next spring/summer.

EBay for fenders. I think it was carparts.com. $109 for both shipped. I got my inner fenders from a later RamCharger. The books say they dont fit but they lie......

I thought that was too good to be true, checked carparts.com, the closest thing that had was for '81 (there are some slight differences, aren't there?) and it was $66 each.
I wonder if there are different "brands" of these with varying quality. I'm all for saving money, but on the other hand it isn't necessarily a good deal if it fits poorly and has the weight of aluminum foil.

You do not want an 81' (Or up) ... It would bolt up, but the body lines and contours are different. You want 72'-80' ...

Right. I found mine on E Bay. It was from carparts. The parts fit fine and I was suprised for the price. Like he said the later ones will bolt up but body lines are different. The inner fenders will interchange though. I havent found a seller of the inner fenders though.
This is where I got them

Now I see they went up a HECK of alot!! I cant believe it. Maybe a different supplier.

I've seen that guys ad's on ebay before... Used to be the fenders were fairly cheap, but the guy is a total rip on the shipping... And still is.
Now his fenders aren't even cheap anymore.

When I got mine, the shipping dropped to like $9 on check out. They were shipped via freight in a big box the size of a bath tub.

I just Googled the guy's name, Jaime Tepes, and found a thread on a forum where a guy claims Jaime ripped him off on a grill. A couple others chimed in with negative opinions. Can anyone verify this? I spoke with Tepes on the phone last spring about buying some inner fenders, almost sent him a check but held off because of other financial priorities...still have the check and order form, though. But now I'm thinking maybe not a good option.

I contacted Jaime Tepes on a Instrument Bezel and he would not give me straight answer on weather it was new or not. Could not get him to send me picture of it. There are a lot of people over at ramchargercentral who have had trouble with him. He is selling on eBay under jobratedtrucks. He stopped selling under powerwagonparts after a lot of negative feedback. Be very careful if you order from Him.

You can e-mail this site and see if they have them in their used yard... They also have them in NOS, but they are expensive, $239ea!

Well, I found a pair of inner fenders, guy wants $250 for the pair shipped from New Mexico, pictures look OK, a little surface rust and a ding in one, should clean up OK though.
What do you guys think? Is that ridiculous to pay a couple Franklins for friggin' splash shields? Or are they getting that rare?
There was a guy on this forum from Tennessee who offered to sell me a pair from and eighties model for $60, I tried to get them but there was a mixup on the shipping details and by the time I got it straightened out he had sold them locally.
I'm not in a hurry--just need them by next summer--but I don't want to pass by a decent opportunity to get some.
Give me your advice...any of you junkyard hounds seeing them in the boneyards? I would gladly pay you to pull a pair and ship them to me.
Dodge Connection used to have NOS pass. side for $129 but those seem to be gone...

Ed, there's NO way I'd pay $250 for a pair of wheel wells/inner fenders... Unless they were NOS or something. (Even then I wouldn't...)
(Honesty? I could fab a pair, using the old ones as molds, out of fiberglass for a hellava lot cheaper..)
Yeah, I know parts are scarce in Maine and seem to be pretty plentiful here in WA., but $250 is way on the steep side.
Hell, if it wasn't for the shipping, I could get you a pair for dirt cheap.
Can't one of the Dodge bros in the Carolina's get you something? They seem to have a bunch of parts over there and a hellava lot closer to you than I am.... ;););)

I dont think its a bad deal for a shipped price as long as they are intact and rust free. I found mine at the JY here local and paid $35 for a perfect one with no rust. It came off a later RamCharger. The books say they dont fit but they do.

Thanks for the reality check. I had a feeling those prices were a little out of line.
That would be great if somebody closer had something, but I haven't seen Speed around for a while...
Would you be willing to grab a pair next time you're down to one of those boneyards in Spokane? I could send you a prepaid shipping label and even arrange to have UPS pick 'em up at your house...throw in a case of your favorite brew for your time and trouble...

I'm having trouble reconciling your first 2 sentences there (shipping is $50--the inner fenders are $100 each, almost triple what you paid).
What year Charger did yours come off? I'm wondering how new I can go with these (to '92?). If it's that far I should probably call around the yards here in Maine and see if there's any...they usually just laugh if you ask about seventies Dodges.

Megunticook,
I'll check at my local yard here. I know they have them, but not sure of the price and the cost of shipping. The yard has about 15 trucks, from late '79 to early 90's. I know there is a '79 in the yard that has both with little to no rust on them....

Thanks, friend.
Man, it must be nice to head down to the local yard with a set of wrenches and sockets and go shopping!
I remember when I was living in Salt Lake the west side of the valley had all kinds of boneyards with old Dodges in them (this was 15 years ago, but still...).

It does make it nice, but it is frustrating when your in the yard and looking around, there is always a ton on Chevy's and Fords, but only a handful of the big D's.... Anyways the yard opens in about an hour so I'll call him up and ask how much they are...

I called on the inner fenders and the radiator core support, not sure if a '79 will fit your or not, it still has the round headlights on it not the quad light set up. Anyways they want $20ea for the inner fenders and $75 for the radiator core support. Also not sure of what it would cost to ship them up there...Any idea?

I found that the grilles will interchange but the 79-80 round headlight sticks out farther so the buckets need to be changed and they are only spot welded in place.

The Zip is 76311, no idea on the weight, guessing about 80lbs for both of them...the yard said they would pull them for me, so it really wouldn't be much of a hassel for to me to help you out.

I looked em over, not real close, but I didn't see any damage on them, maybe a little surface rust. The front of the truck didn't look like it had been in a major accident or anything like that, looked all original, had some dents on the bumper and grille, but that was about it. The ID tag was still on the radiator core support too. If you want I can try to go take some pics for you?

Sounds promising, don't make a special trip just to take photos but maybe next time you're there anyway bring your camera and snap a few.
Look like shipping would run $75 for UPS ground. I would need to prevail upon you to wrap them up somehow, though...or maybe there's a UPS store or one of those shipping places around your neck of the woods where you could just drop them off?
I will owe you big time for this...

There is a UPS store about 10 minutes away so it wouldn't be a problem to send them... I already have a box at the house that would fit them, and I would feel better about packing them myself, I've seen how some of the stores pack things...Not sure of when I'll be going back up to that particular yard, most likely around the 2nd weekend of November. PM me on what you need me to do, and don't worry about "owing me big time", it's all about helpin someone...

Here is the pics for you, they are from my phone so hopefully they are ok pics... I took one of the passenger side and two of the drivers, the driver had a little bit of rust on it near the battery tray, but it is still solid.
