my 95 Ram has that droning harmonic resonance in the drive shaft but it has been replaced with the insulated one and the sound is still there. Im getting used to it and with the windows up and the Kenwood pumpin i cant hear it but id fix it if i know what the fix was. The TSB I found at work says to replace the driveshaft with an insulated one but mine appears to have the black insulating cover on it already. Weird.
Why did they Tack-Weld the damn lower ball joints to the control arms? gotta spend 425$ to replace the lower ball joints thats insane.

I just went thru the ball joint deal myself.
It was a bite grinding off those damn welds.
I had to buy special diamond bits that were very small so that I could get down in the crevice and grind the weld out. What the hell was Dodge thinking anyway? Theres a safety clip on the bottom of the ball joint for a reason.

And your noise isnt your drive shaft. Its your gears.
That harmonic resonace you hear are your gears running out.
More than likely your pinion bearings are bad or the preload shim was installed with the wrong depth from the factory. Very common but easy to fix.
Good advise, check it yourself or have your differential looked at.
It can get costly if you let it go too long.

Good luck

Well i was planning to replace the gears anyways. Im planning to use this truck to tow my 31ft Airstream and i feel more may be a wise thing.
Where should I get them from?
