I have a 2000 Neon and have a nagging problem.

I don't drive all nuts or anything, but lately any bump, sharp turn, or mild acceleration causes the Brake warning light to go off on my dash along with the nagging BEEEEEEEEEP!!!

My brakes passed inspection in May and I haven't noticed any problem with the braking system other than this.

Is this a sensor that has gone bad ? Do I need to have my brakes checked.

Any comments or help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I would, just to be on the safe side, have those brakes checked by someone other than the shop who did it in may, maybe a fresh set of eyes. it sounds like a sensor that's gone wacky, but I know if it were me in your situation, I'd feel a hell of a lot better knowing that everything is all hunky-dory

my neon had the same problem. the e-brake light would come on every time i accelerated. i got it checked. and it was just a censor.
